Barbara Figgins (Angela Kennedy Lipsky) is delighted to be reprising her Jeff-nominated role as Angela in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE. She has been an ensemble member with IRISH THEATRE OF CHICAGO since 2005, appearing in IN PIGEON HOUSE, THE SHADOW OF A GUNMAN, DANCING AT LUGHNASA, OUR FATHER, SCENES FROM THE BIG PICTURE, WAR and BOLD GIRLS. Recent credits include Lillie-Anne in BARBECUE at Steppenwolf’s 1700 space with Strawdog Theatre Company, Ellie in the world premiere of Conor McNamara’s SCAPEGOAT; OR WHY THE DEVIL ALWAYS LOVED US with New Colony, Pam in the world premiere of Ike Holter’s EXIT STRATEGY with Jackalope Theatre, and Miss Tesman in HEDDA GABLER at Writers Theatre. Siiri Scott (Director) is the Head of Acting and Directing at the University of Notre Dame in the Department of Film, Television, and Theatre. Currently in her 22nd year with the department, she teaches advanced acting, voice, dialects, and movement. After many years with the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival as a voice/dialect coach and actor, Siiri returned to Chicago to continue her professional work and commutes back to Notre Dame to teach. A graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul, she has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, and the Irish Theatre of Chicago where she directed both the Jeff-nominated production of MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE and their critically acclaimed remount of THE WEIR. Regional work includes Milwaukee, where she performed in THE KENTUCKY CYCLE and co-directed ROLL OF THUNDER, HEAR MY CRY; and Seattle, where she worked with Theatre Babylon, Book-it Repertory Theatre and Seattle Children’s Theatre. Siiri’s TV credits include CBS’s CITY OF ANGELS and two years as host of the KidsWB TV Network for WCIU. Siiri is also a company member of the international Japanese Noh theatre, Theatre Nohgaku, and a prolific voiceover artist who can be heard on museum installations, commercials, and over 50 audiobooks.
